The first house my boys went trick or treating at was our dear friends' house (as seen in previous post). They live 2 houses down from us. Seattle had a giant storm and it was extremely windy. Our friend's house backs up to a greenbelt. A few months ago, some construction company cleared out some land behind the greenbelt and built a bridge through it. Uprooting + heavy winds = falling trees.
My friend and I were actually at my church event Super Saturday crafting away making hair bows for our baby girls when Eric called me saying she had a tree through her house. We ran back home and well, you see.
Gratefully no one was hurt and their house will be fixed up in the next 2-3 months. Hopefully before she has her first baby!
I write about this because it was a big event for our neighborhood/boys. It was trucks and being outside ALL DAY LONG. Also she's my friend and my heart goes out to her.
