Summer Fun in Washington - The Boys

Everyone says "my kid just woke up one day and started talking!" I always expected that to happen but it has been a SLOOOOW gradual process. They are very bright, and can communicate well with each other but when it comes to words... not so much.  I could type what they know but then I could only think of half  of them and then I will be frustrated throughout my day as they speak that I forgot so many words they know. Wow that sentence.

Their favorite things to do:
Eat
Kiss Tess
Watch Mighty Machines (and NOTHING else)
(ok maybe Youtube videos of dogs popping balloons)
Give Tessa toys
Be chased around
Play with trucks and/or cars

They've really bonded recently and are doing more things together.

They share a mutual love for Tess.
One of my favorite spots is going to the Elementary school and letting them loose at the baseball fields and sand and sticks and playground and basketball hoops. Now school is back in session and our party is over.

The cherry on top? It's right next to a construction site.

Who knew putting two complete whities together would produce children that tan.
Roy. Roy oh Roy. He's my sensitive snuggler. He loves to sleep- much more than brother. When we come down the stairs for breakfast he goes straight for the pantry and picks the first thing he sees- raw noodles, jar of peanut butter, olive oil, napkins, flax seed, it don't matter. He has a particular way of playing. He will stack cars on cars and push them on the couch. His verbal skills are quite a bit more advanced than Bruce's. He is such a monkey- he climbs any and everything. He is pretty good at sharing and forgives easier than Bruce.

Brucie. My little bully. Whatever Roy has is the coolest toy on the planet and he must have it NOW. He is always goofy- flirty with his eyes and rolling them and making the most silly faces. He is obsessed with opening and closing thing (lotions, wipes containers) or putting small things in bigger thing. These things can keep him occupied for an hour. He loves it when daddy comes home- he squeals and runs to him. He is such a happy happy kid

I am one lucky lady:
